I knew all the snow machine trailers parked between the pass and Incline lake must be playing somewhere, and Relay peak is the place! Despite the buzzing I enjoy the gorgeous day with Ann and Gabe (and four-legged Dora), and the northwest side of the peak even looks alluring enough for a return trip methinks……

It’s a quiet, deep-rose twilight in Reno. While votes are tallied around the nation I run up to the trailhead where Ann is returning from a hike, and we scare each other meeting in the dark.
