We have a rest day in Pie Town. I try to revive my computer and phone with the new solar panel – everything is stone dead. Ann works on fixing her pants. After walking around in her new flipflops, she decides her hiking sandals are just too small. We don’t know how to handle this except to hobble to Grants in them, then buy new shoes for her.
In the evening we go to Nita’s to look for the comet NEAT. Her husband Don and daughter Autumn are home, and they are every bit as good to us as Nita. We’re invited for coffee in the morning, and decide on another rest day.
