Starry Night

moblog thumbnailAt dusk we start looking for someplace along I-15 to spend the night. On the map I see a road leaving Leeds, Utah and dead-ending in Dixie National Forest. It takes some driving around and scouting in the Subaru, but we find a legal spot to camp a ways up a small dirt road. We spread out under a starry sky, glad that we investigated.

Around midnight we hear a diesel pull up. There are a few tense moments of silence, then someone yells, “Let’s get some wood together, get a fire goin!” We groan, expecting a screaming all-nighter, but they wind up being relatively quiet partiers. At sunrise we’re ready to go again.
