Bruce Lee on Bouldering

Bruce Lee

‘I’m moving and not moving at all. I’m like the moon underneath the waves that ever go on rolling and rocking. It is not, “I am doing this,” but rahter, an inner realization that “this is happening through me,” or “it is doing this for me.” The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.’ —

  1. i imagined doing this move before i did it. imagined my right foot being in that exact position, the position of perfect stability. i realized then did. it worked

i have since done the traverse (though NOT using that foothold in that manner) both right to left and left to right.

synopsis? brutal. i use ALL uppper body, which is not considered good form. that’s ok in this case. i call the boulder “Workout Wall”. so, i am getting a workout. cheerz!
