Shea Road

We pick our campsite for the evening with the help of freecampsites.net, and find a large tract of BLM land sparsely dotted with boondockers like ourselves. It takes a little exploring to find a spot we like with a good phone signal, but then we’re quickly settled. After dinner we go out for an evening “stroll”, but are tempted to follow an old pipeline to see if it will loop back to the road. Soon we’re losing light fast, and decide to just turn around. It’s dark when we get back, but the image of the last light stays in my head for a while.

  1. Thanks! We’re in Lake Havasu City visiting a friend of Ann’s now. Next will probably be Red Rocks or somewhere near Zion…
