Movie: Revenge of the Sith (Star Wars Episode III)

I’m just relieved that it’s over. It’s a testament to the power of this story that it worked its way into my psyche as a child and made me willing to endure any number of sterile battle scenes and stiffly-delivered, groan-extracting dialogues just to see it continue. Now at last, with Yoda to Degobah escaping and Darth Vader safely esconced in his walking iron lung, I feel a sense of peace and closure.

  1. I don’t see it as being kind. I think it’s different having started the series as a kid. If the first one came out today, there’s no way I’d sit through these movies. I give credit for the story’s power to Joseph Campbell as much as anyone.

  2. simply fucking wretchid. horrid. (btw, sorry i haven’t called, i keep forgetting too).

i started turning my head and mock *gagging* about 5 minutes into this. BAD.

and how “Annie” become “Darth Vader”. who the fuck thought that one up? totally insane.

all these wretchid / stupid battle scenes. what was all that shit? horrid. yoda’s backwards ass talk is waaaaaaay played out.

in fact i think all of the scenes and dialogue were forced. i mean.. the Wookies? how.. why did that fit in? IT DIDN’T. totally lame movie. the movie completely sucked.

from the time Darth got seared ’til when he broke out of the gurney(sp), that was actually “good drama”. that was like 10 minues (or less) of movie.

  3. Hey dylan

I think the last time I talked to you was when you came to my house on your around-the-country bike trip. Anyway, I found this site through my mom (julia), and just had to comment on Episode III:

It was a horrible movie as movie standards go, however I still feel it was worth seeing to wrap up the series. As for the dialoge, it was painful, but It’s like the local right-wing paper in our town: It’s worth reading it just to see how far they’ll go and still think they’re being taken seriously.
