Movie: Shall We Dance? (American version)

This was a good movie to catch at the $2 matinee with my dad and Sarah, who left the theater waltzing. It’s goofy, but fun. If you’re a ballroom dancer, you probably won’t be able to help enjoying yourself. It also manages to do a little real exploration of how personal change might affect an otherwise good marriage. The wonderful cultural contrasts that gave the Japanese original such vitality isn’t as convincing in Chicago, but the movie manages to find other ways to keep your attention.
