2016.05.06 & 07 Washoe Lake State Park, NV

Seeking a nice sage-y campsite free of mud on a rainy weekend, close enough to the mountains so that Dylan can drive up to ski for the day then come back to home base (since I’m now over camping in backcountry ski area parking lots for a while), we come up with this. It’s very nice, but expensive especially with two cars (camper/truck plus Subie). We do it any way for my sanity. $15/night per vehicle. Flush toilets, water, trash, picnic tables and most importantly, paved access (read avoidance of Nevada mud). Lots of jackrabbits and birds. In the flight path for the Reno Tahoe Airport, but luckily not a busy one.
