11 species discovered in Vietnam

Among them a white-lipped snake and a leafless, fungal orchid. Are all orchids fungus? Weird…

  1. No, I think many orchids are not fungus. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orchid

    If you have green leaves you eat sunlight, you are not a fungus. When I read the article, I read that sentence as “And these incredible orchids actually are a fungus (unlike most orchids)!” But maybe that’s just me. :)
