Swayed by the fee?
My lifestyle choices tend to make me more cash-strapped than some, so I do tend to balk at Park entrance fees. For National Parks, I tend to either cough up the $50 for an annual pass or avoid NPs for the year. In Colorado, I would also need a $55 state parks pass and a $60 county parks pass to recreate freely around my home (in Grand Lake you need a city pass!). In general, I’d prefer lower fees and fewer services in the parks. Edward Abbey had some good ideas that have yet to be implemented. Has anyone paid $25 to smell the fire in Yellowstone?
